SofTA R&D efforts have resulted in several new innovative technologies, including the easy to use graphical user interface and data collection on the Model 400; and the best vapor phase splitter in the world. All the SofTA ELSD models share the SofTA exclusive patented Thermo-Split™ technology (Patent No. US 7,290,723 B1). By heating and cooling the nebulizer spray chamber, Thermo-Split allows you to adjust the split ratio for your particular mobile phase and analyte composition for the optimal signal to noise ratio. This SofTA exclusive feature allows full control of the ratio of mobile phase to analyte particles, which can be varied for increased sensitivity and varying flow rates or mobile phase gradients. This means that with one low cost detector you can handle high volume as well as difficult to evaporate mobile phases optimally, efficiently and easily, all without sacrificing sensitivity. The ongoing mission of SofTA Corporation is to design and manufacture Evaporative Light Scattering Detectors with unmatched performing at lowest purchase price. We also plan to change the ELSD from an expensive niche instrument into the analytical device of choice for anyone in need of an HPLC detector.
