ELSD Comparison with Narrowbore Application
Comparing ELSDs from different manufacturers is a difficult and involved process. Each design has unique benefits and disadvantages, so no single test can completely do the job. However, time and time again, our customers have told us that they get the best results with SofTA products.
At SofTA, we have designed a very flexible instrument configuration that yields real advantages in many common HPLC applications. One unique SofTA advantage is the ability to optimize for gradient operation. This is possible because we can smoothly vary the vapor phase split ratio with our Thermo-Split technology.
This comparison was made between the SofTA Model 300 and one of the other available ELSD's. The SofTA design was able to detect this compound with better signal to noise ratio less band broadening.
